10 Tips for Eating Out

I love homemade meals, but I also love to socialize and spend time outside home. When I prepare my own meals, I use ingredients that are wholesome and nutritious, and I can take control of what I add to my food. A big challenge for me is to eat healthy when I’m out. Most restaurants use cheap ingredients which tend to be low in nutrients, and use lots of salt (sodium) and fat to flavour the food. This makes it very difficult to choose a menu item that keeps me satisfied. Of course, if you visit a restaurant once in a while, this is not really an issue. However if you eat out at least once a week, you could benefit from taking steps to eat healthier.
