Fats have gained a bad reputation, but the truth is that they are essential to our survival! What is important, however, is to learn about different types of fats and ensure that you get each type in the right amount.

Frozen or Fresh?

Freezing fruits and vegetables results in loss of nutrients, right? WRONG! Frozen fruits are just as nutrition (or even more nutritious) than fresh produce. In fact, from the time that fruits and vegetables are picked until they are consumed, some nutrients get lost. Therefore, doing a “quick-freeze” and packaging may in fact help preserve even more nutrients!
